In April 2009, we won the bidding of a 100kt/a food-grade CO2 purification project of Huaneng Shanghai Shidongkou Second Power Plant. We became the general contractor to undertake the building of this domestically first giant CO2 recovery plant. The project was a supporting project of Expo 2010 Shanghai, opening the prelude of domestic coal-fired power plant retrofit for CO2 emissions reduction. It attracted the attention of domestic coal power industry and the whole world.
The project employed advanced technology and was characterized by reasonable energy consumption and a high degree of automation. The plant run stably, the output and purity all reached and even surpassed design requirements.
